Job Title:         Environmental Engineer I

Salary range:         45 – 55 K/yr

Description: A Houston based consulting firm offering air, water, and waste regulatory compliance services has an opening for an Jr Environmental Sales Consultant. In this position you will use technical skills and analytical abilities to provide complete customer oriented air quality, permitting, and compliance solutions to assist clients in the areas of permitting and regulatory compliance. Salary and commission is commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Responsibilities:

-> Compile modeling analysis results relative to project requirements and/or published guidelines.

-> Document process information to ensure client operations, and work practices are in accordance with all applicable regulations

-> Understand existing regulations and continually review new and proposed regulations as they relate to industrial clients

-> Remain current regarding the latest developments in pollution control technologies

-> Assemble permit applications, permit amendment applications, standard exemptions, source inventories, and emission fee calculations for submittal to state regulatory agencies for industrial clients

-> Communicate results of analyses internally and externally in verbal and written form.

Requirements:

-> Bachelor’s degree (B. S.) in Chemical, Mechanical, Environmental/Civil Engineering

-> Two to five years related experience, environmental experience a plus

-> Must have computer literacy, including basic programming, word processing, spreadsheet skills, and knowledge of Microsoft Office software package

-> PE preferred, EIT’s welcome to pursue PE license working under senior PE on staff

-> Basic word processing, spreadsheet, and Microsoft Office software package experience
