Why Choose Us?
Oil & Gas facilities have gone through major regulatory changes over the past fifteen years and ACS Engineering has been there to assist with compliance and to work with the regulatory agencies in the development of those rules and programs. We understand the requirements associated with your operations and we are diligent in securing the authorizations that allow you to begin operating quickly and to ensure that you can do so with minimal initial and ongoing costs.
Case Study > Natural Gas Facility
A natural gas facility was finding it difficult to operate within the confines of their existing permit and there were gnawing questions about certain requirements that did not seem to make sense. ACS was contacted to review their operations and requirements based upon our recognized expertise in the Oil & Gas industry. ACS discovered that numerous errors had been made by a previous consultant in the representations and calculations associated with the permit application, resulting in burdensome and unnecessary restrictions and operating/control requirements. The problem had been further exacerbated by a second consulting firm that misrepresented the site’s emissions in an emissions inventory, thereby improperly categorizing the site as being an unauthorized PSD source. ACS worked with the site and with the agency to properly represent their emissions and to bring solutions to their existing permit such that they could operate profitably while the permit was amended.
Case Study > Oil Production Facility
An oil production facility contacted ACS to evaluate emissions reporting that had been completed by their consultant, indicating that the site was a major source of VOC and subject to Title V permitting. ACS evaluated the data and discovered that the site could utilize a different methodology – the one actually recommended by the agency – and by doing so indicate that total emissions were below the Title V applicability level. The site continues to operate in compliance with all applicable regulations and does so without a Title V permit.
